Most political Christian Conservatives are vile individuals who love to claim that they are vilified and crucified at every given opportunity. A crucifixion complex and a desire to raise money drive these people. Despite their claims of being Christian, these people will stop at nothing when it comes to pushing their political agenda. A writer over at the very anti-family, American Family Association claims that the homosexual agenda "represents a clear and present danger to vertually every fundamental right given to us by our Creator and enshrined for us in our Constitution."
Funny, I did not know the right to a fair trial, the right to a speedy trial, the right to a jury trial, the right against self incrimination, the right against an unlawful search and seizure, the right to counsel, etc. are being threatened by the homosexual agenda. Who'd thunk it? No, this writer is referring to the rights to freedom of speech and of religion. Why would he say this? Well, because Andrew Air Force base rescinded an invitation to that evil hate-monger Tony Perkins to attend a prayer breakfast at the base.
The article drips with ridiculous faux-persecution claims:
And yet it now appears that a virtual zero-tolerance policy, rooted in Christophobia, has resulted in the blacklisting of anyone who supports what the military has always believed and practiced. (Christophobia - that is a new and ridiculous one.) . . .
The Air Force lamely defended the decision at Andrews by limp-wristedly saying that Perkins' position on gays in the military made many attendees "uncomfortable.". . .
The days of Dred Scott have returned. Christians now are the ones are being confined on the plantation, and warned about being too uppity.
The only ones who will feel "included" here are those who support sexual deviancy in the military. The rest of you Neanderthals, well, that's just too bad. This is the new military, regardless of what the law says, so get used to it.
McCarthyism has now struck the U.S. military with a vengeance. The question now that the military is asking is this: "Are you now, or have you ever been, a supporter of traditional morality?" If the answer is yes, you go on our blacklist, and we deprive you of your freedom of religion, speech and military service.
Realize the ominous portents here for the future of our military. Perkins' view represents the view of the vast majority of Americans, especially those considering military service.
Before I begin, let's already debunk the lie that the vast majority of Americans support Perkins' view on DADT. They do not. Several recent polls prove that. So, we already know that this "Christian" writer considers lying very Christian-like.
Aside from the obvious lie, this writer in one short article compares Christians to slaves on the plantations and those who were victims of McCarthyism.
