S.E. Cupp Stirs Up Gun Rights Paranoia, Makes Stuff Up, And Defames Christmas

Did you know that gun rights have expanded in the last decade or so? You wouldn't if you listen to paranoid Second Amendment advocates who claim Obama and his minions are taking their guns every chance they can. It does not matter that they haven't even proposed any gun restrictions. Paranoia is the way to go.
Fortunately, I do not have to pay for the stupid Townhall magazine, but I did get an email with an article from S.E. Cupp who writes of a Gunowner's Ode to Christmas. Cupp goes into the paranoia of Obama taking away gun rights:
That's evidenced not only by his frightening legislative promises to make it nearly impossible to own a gun or even buy ammunition, but also by his nomination of anti-gun public health advocate David Michaels to the OSHA post and his appointment of Cass Sunstein, who thinks deer should be able to sue you, as regulatory czar.
Again, can Cupp name a singe thing Obama has actually done to take away gun rights. Of course not, because it has not happened. Paranoia is amazing. Even more amazing is Cupp's ridiculous claim about Obama using taxes and fees to squeeze gun owners:
And with the economy down, the Obama administration is looking to squeeze some much-needed cash out of hunters and gun owners, via sweeping fines, taxes and fees. But it won't work.
In Idaho, lawmakers hiked the fee on out-of-state hunting licenses this year to raise money for the Fish and Game Department.
I did not know that Obama is the governor of Idaho. It is a good thing that Cupp has enlightened me. Oh, and last time I checked, Idaho is pretty much one of the reddest states you have. How intellectually dishonest of Cupp.
Now, the coup de grace. In the spirit of Chuck Norris who thinks about the Virgin Mary aborting Jesus during the Christmas season, Cupp thinks about guns:
Christmas just isn't Christmas without our guns. After all, Christmas, like the great American pastimes of shooting and hunting, is something you whisper about under your breath in liberal circles.
Nothing says the birth of Jesus than a gun. Hell, maybe Cupp can rewrite the Bible and claim that Joseph and Mary had a gun as they looked for room at the inn. What an idiot.
Gun Rights,
Idiot,
Paranoia,
Second Amendment

I guess that shouldn't come as a surprise to me since this is a topic which is near and dear to my heart. I have been wanting to write a piece on why has it become easier to buy a gun in the last 30 years? It used to be that you needed to be fingerprinted and go through a wating period to buy a pistol. Now, a clean driver's licence will do ya.
Even more interesting is the concept of gun rights, when Jeffrey Toobin and I were in Law School the "Collective right" was pretty much the common interpretation of the Second Amendment. Most of the "new Scholarship which proves there is an "Individual right to a gun" came since the late 1980s!
So, Squeaky Fromme and Sara Jane Moore make attempts at killing Gerald Ford and now we have Yahoos trying to kill Obama.
