Only a man as obsessed with gay sex and the Folsom Street Fair as Peter LaBarbera, the leader of Americans For Lies Truth About Homosexuality, would be so immature to have a gay grinch of the year award.  It is the first time he is doing, and hopefully it will be the last. 

Even though LaBarbera does not nominate a young woman in Florida, who happens to be lesbian, for shooting another girl in the back after rejecting her, it does not stop him from bringing the matter up.  Further, LaBarbera has the gross audacity to blame the shooting on homosexuality:

Needless to say, her conviction for the murder of the talented and beautiful Collette (pictured below right) — a murder directly tied to homosexuality — has not received anything close to the national media attention that made homosexual murder victim Matthew Shepard a household name. . .

A little over a year ago, Amanda Collette became the ultimate victim of homosexuality when Wimberly shot her in the back at school.

The ultimately victim of homosexuality?  Really?  So, I guess that makes every woman who is beaten and murdered by a jealous or violent boyfriend or husband a victim of heterosexuality.  Every time a woman is raped, I guess that makes her a victim of heterosexuality.   (Conversely, every time a male is killed or beaten by a jealous girlfriend or wife, he is a victim of heterosexuality).  Heck, the assailant need not be romantically linked to the individual.  But a stalker.  I guess that makes Rebecca Schaeffer the ultimate victim of heterosexuality.  (I realize I am dating myself - but you can go through newspapers and unfortunately find cases like this all the time.)

LaBarbera is so twisted and warped because of his unnatural attraction to everything gay, that he cheapens domestic violence and other acts of violence related to unrequited and/or obsessive love.  This man is disgusting and owes every victim an apology.  Or, he should list all those who have been victims of heterosexuality.
