Okay, I still haven't seen 2012 yet, so I am no entirely sold on the idea of the end of the world in 2012 - though I would love to see all these self-righteous Christianists sent to hell during the Rapture.  But, I think Lou Dobbs new found love for legalization of illegal aliens is a sign in that direction. 

Of course, it is pretty much a cynical move for Dobbs who wants to run for office and there are plenty of Latino voters, especially in his home state of New Jersey.

I am even more cynical.  I don't think Dobbs ever believed the crap he spewed about illegal immigration on his television show.  There is a large gap between actually governing and tossing out an opinion.  There are approximately 12 million illegals in this country and we can not realistically just send them home.  Also, attempts to isolate them from society so that they will have no choice but to leave will not work.  It will cost billions more to expel illegal aliens than to integrate them into the fabric of our society. 

Maybe, that explains Dobbs change of heart.  I doubt it.  He was just full of shit when he was on television - most of those "conservative" commentators are.  I honestly do not believe that Coulter, Limbaugh and O'Reilly believe three quarters of the shit they say.  That is what makes them dangerous - they do it for profit.  For the record, I believe Hannity believes what he says because he just looks like a moron.
